Upgrade-advisor, analysing system upgrade
How to use it, how to write your own plugin
An Introduction to "upgrade-advisor", a tool to analyse a system before and after a dist-upgrade. How to use it, How to contribute a plugin.
This session will present upgrade-advisor, which runs in two modes :
- pre-upgrade - Test the system prior to the upgrade, then display some hints to ensure seamless upgrade.
- post-upgrade - Test the system after the upgrade, then display hints for emulating a freshly installed system.
During this session, we'll see how to use it, and how to contribute a plugin for you package and known bugs.
