Juan A. Diaz

I began to use computers around the year 2000/2001 when I started my System Engineering studies at national Universidad Tecnologica (Technological University), Buenos Aires' region. Studies I had to abandon due to financial issues. During my first year I became part of the Internet lab as a helper. Starting 2002, up to 2005, I became a permanent employee of such lab performing administrative tasks and web programming. It was by that time that I started using Debian GNU/Linux as my desktop system and I started (and completed) the process of migration of faculty's servers from RedHat to Debian.

2006-2007 I was involved as a coordinator of the systemas area and a linux sysadmin for a telecommunications company and a vehicle secutrity company that was using GSM/GPRS technologies. Work I quitted early this year to move to Cordoba city and start my stuides in Sciences of computers

Right now my Debian-related work is as a non-dd mantainer and am right now in the process of NM, that will probably require me to start an English course to improve my vocabulary and general performance with the language.
