Debian Armel Port
Why arm has a new port
The ARM Linux ABI has changed, and so has the kernel syscall mechanism. This gives numerous speed and flexibility advantages, but makes new arm binaries completely incompatible with old ones. This talk covers what has changed, and why, and what Debian is doing about it. The archive will need to contain both old and new arm variants for at least one release cycle.
