Maemo as a generic open platform for mobile devices

Presentation on Mer, a community edition of Maemo, which has as one of its goals to attempt to make Maemo a generic mobile platform. The discussion will be focused upon Mer on top of Debian in mobile devices and where the Maemo platform can help providing quality user interfaces for Debian-based operating systems on mobile devices. Demonstration of Mer on Neo Freerunner, Nokia N8x0, SmartQ5, etc will also be shown.
