SPI: Software in the Public Interest, Inc.
Understanding the Umbrella
Board members from Software in the Public Interest, Inc. (SPI) will provide an overview about what SPI is and how it helps Debian and other FLOSS projects.
Software in the Public Interest, Inc. (SPI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that holds assets and provides legal assistance for Debian and a variety of other FLOSS projects. The panel discussion will start with a presentation giving an overview of SPI including its history, why it exists, current associated projects, and information about participating in SPI as a Contributing Member. Once the presentation has completed, the floor will be opened for questions. At least three of the SPI board members plan on participating in the panel.
