PC Install and Backup Management
Tying Debian-Installer, BackupPC and OpenVPN together in weird and wonderful ways
Installing, maintaining and backing up of several Personal Computers is a time-consuming task that this project endeavours to make easier. The technologies that are tied together include Debian-Installer (including Ubuntu's OEM setup), BackupPC (using rsync), and OpenVPN.
The goal is for an individual to be able to subscribe to a managed software installation and backup service, where they can put a CD into their PC, and expect to get a useful desktop system, with absolute minimum knowledge and intervention on their part.
