LAVA: full-system testing on real hardware
LAVA is a free automated testing framework developed by Linaro. It was primarily developed for testing ARM-based systems, but can be extended to run full-system tests on most hardware that has a serial connection. LAVA can be hooked-up into a Continuous Integration solution so that you can go from source code to built binary images and then to having those images run tests on real (or virtual, emulated) systems.
This event will include a quick presentation of how LAVA works, how to use it to submit tests. After that I would like to have a discussion on how we could use LAVA to help the Debian automated testing efforts.
