An introduction to the Bootstrap/Build Ordering Toolchain
Solving the bootstrap problem for Debian based operating systems
We present botch, the Bootstrap/Build Ordering ToolCHain. In this talk, we give an overview about the capabilities of botch and how it can help to add missing metadata (build-profiles) to a good selection of source packages and then create a buildorder.
This talk is an update on the talk that was given on FOSDEM about the same topic (https://fosdem.org/2013/schedule/event/debian_bootstrap/). It improves on that talk not only by presenting the improvements that were made to botch since February but also by focussing on the specifics that are of particular interest for Debian developers.
